Man oh man is this weather better than snow or what??
Some folks from Horizon Christian Church and Kingsway Church came and brought some great ziti, salad, mixed veggies and dessert. It looked awesome. Thanks to both groups for coming alongside MMUTB to make a difference in homeless people’s lives.
We had a good crowd today, not as many people, but we expect less on the first and second Sunday’s of the month. Reason being that folks get SSI, disability or other checks at the first of the month, so they don’t need us as much. We’re glad that we can be a blessing to so many whenever.
Brother Bill Sears from Anderson gave the word today, it was based off of Ecclesiastes 1 Everything Is Meaningless 1 The words of the Teacher,[a] son of David, king in Jerusalem: 2 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” 3 What do people gain from all their labor at which they toil under the sun? 4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. 6 The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. 7 All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again. 8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. 9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago;
it was here before our time. 11 No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them.
We love the guys from Anderson so much. They being lots of smiles and servants hearts every week. Plus all the to-go bags, like 160 of them. They boil 30 dozen eggs, make sandwiches, snacks, fruit, whatever the Lord blesses them with. They devote every Saturday to doing all this for our homeless friends. I know I’ve told you this before, but I so appreciate them.
Please continue to pray for MMUTB, the volunteers, our homeless friends and for Jeffrey.
Blessings to all!
Kathy.
